  9.           Join - Combines (joins) many files into one larger file.

  11.      SYNOPSIS
  12.           Join FILES/... TO=AS/a
  13.  
  14.      DESCRIPTION
  15.           This program combines several files into one larger file,
  16.           which may also be a device such as a printer or modem. Like
  17.           most ARP commands, it accepts wildcards as its arguments.
  18.           This command will alphabetize the wildcarded filenames
  19.           before using them. If you specify only one name, then a
  20.           simple Copy will result. Any number of files may be
  21.           specified in the command line, and each one may be a
  22.           wildcard specification.

  24.      ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS
  25.           Given the added capabilities of the ARP Type program, you
  26.           may prefer to use TYPE for joining files rath than JOIN.
  27.       JOIN is included for backward's compatibility with batch
  28.       scripts. The one advantage of Join is that it runs a bit
  29.       faster than TYPE concatenating large files.

  31.      EXAMPLE
  32.              Join File1 File2 File3 AS FILES1-3

  34.           the above command will combine the three files File1 File2
  35.           and File3 into one large file named FILES1-3.  Note that the
  36.           original files are unharmed.
